As part of the largest transport infrastructure project in northern Victoria, together with Transport for NSW, we’re building a second Murray River crossing to connect Echuca and Moama.
The Murray River bridge will measure over 600m across the Murray River floodplain with a clear span over the Murray River.
When the Project is completed in mid- 2022 it will mean:
The new river crossing will support high productivity freight vehicles.
Better traffic flow
When the second river crossing is open there will be around 40 percent less traffic on the existing bridge, making it easier and safer for locals and visitors to travel between Echuca and Moama.
Good for tourism
The completed bridge will provide essential new transport and tourism link between Victoria and New South Wales.
